Cannes- Shanghai Media Group (SMG) will offer interactive TV programmes on fix8's AuditionsTV platform for youth markets across Shanghai cable networks.

As a platform for broadcasting real-time media to support interactive TV, AuditionsTV was created by fix8, the pioneer of User-Generated Reality, a new media category with downloadable software combining video, animation and instant messaging. AuditionsTV offers broadcast quality output, allowing producers to select content from users on the Internet and integrate it into live or produced TV programming. The platform integrates TV, Internet and mobile technologies for audience participation across reality, talk, game and dating shows. It's being used on SMG's midnight talk show, Stay with You Till Dawn, on Channel Young, a lifestyle and fashion channel, China's first User-Generated Content (UGC) programme.

SMG will offer interactive content on IN STAR TV, a music channel which targets youth in Shanghai. AuditionsTV will allow viewers to record video clips to create a sub-programme within the show which airs every weekend. Also, SMG's Shanghai Interactive TV (SiTV) will introduce an interactive programme based on AuditionsTV for its Game Channel. And fix8 will expand AuditionsTV to support interactive TV applications including Role Playing Games, TV Blogs, TV Podcasts, TV Karaoke and TV Communities.
