Beijing TV selects Leitch X75 HD for new HD truck

China: Harris Corporation announces that China's Beijing TV (BTV) has confirmed its purchase of a Leitch X75 HD multiple-path converter-cum-synchroniser. X75 HD provides up/down/cross conversion; SD/HD frame sync; and extensive video and audio processing capabilities in a 1RU package. Video processing features include simultaneous up and down conversion with aspect ratio conversion for hybrid standard-and-high-definition facilities; level/color proc amp control; optional 3D adaptive color decoding with time-base correction; and optional noise reduction. BTV has plans to increase its broadcasting channels from 10 to 14 – including at least one HDTV channel - and open a new HD studio by end 2006.
