Thomson and Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority partner to build digital cinema hub

France / USA / Singapore / Macau: Thomson, through its Technicolor Digital Cinema business, has partnered Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) to establish a digital cinema hub and network operations center (NOC) in Singapore.
Slated to begin from mid-2008, Thomson, with IDA’s support, will construct the facility to offer digital cinema service and related management solution capabilities to the Singapore and regional motion picture industry.
Thomson’s digital cinema hub and NOC is expected to support digital cinema services including physical and electronic forms of content delivery; Thomson’s distribution and management systems as well as equipment monitoring. The facility also provides multi-lingual call-center support, and is integrated with its operations in the US.
