Marcus Timpson joins The Lab Sydney as senior colourist

Australia: The Lab Sydney, a post production house for film, TV and commercial projects has recruited Marcus Timpson as senior colourist from Rushes in the UK.
Timpson’s appointment follows the installation of a new digital intermediate (DI) infrastructure which features a colour grading theatrette. With experience working on the C-Reality and Spirit telecine chains, Timpson will join The Lab Sydney’s telecine team headed up by Dwaine Hyde and work on the company’s new Baselight colour grading systems. Focusing on commercials, the Lab’s telecine team also includes Vincent Taylor and Head of DI, Al Hansen.
Prior to joining Rushes’ telecine team, Timpson served as a colourist at The Mill and London post production house Soho 601. Timpson’s credits include TVCs for Dolce & Gabanna, Levis, Nintendo, Sony, Smirnoff, Stella Artois, Suzuki, Toyota, Vodafone, VW and Wrigley’s. Artistes he has worked with include Madonna, U2, Arctic Monkies, Avalanches, Groove Armada and Jamiroquai.
