Australia/Singapore: A co-production agreement for a second 13 half-hour series of children’s animation series Milly, Molly has been inked between Australia’s Pacific & Beyond, Singapore’s animation studio Scrawl Studios and Milly Molly Holdings, with the participation of the Media Development Authority of Singapore. Beyond Distribution has again been appointed worldwide TV broadcast and DVD/video distributor of the new series.

The first 13 x 30” Milly, Molly series debuted in October 2006 at MIPCOM Junior and has since been sold to ABC Australia, Nickelodeon Australia, ATV, Mediacorp, TV Ontario, TPS Jeunesse, Tele Quebec, TVNZ, HOP!, YLE, and NRK.

Aimed at children aged 4 – 8, the animated series continues the adventures of two girls from different racial and cultural backgrounds, with each episode highlighting values including honesty, responsibility and the acceptance of diversity as well as life skills such as stranger danger, bullying and forgiveness. Ron Saunders will produce the second series for Pacific & Beyond. The animation series is based on books of the same title which have sold over 3.5 million copies in 109 countries in 26 languages.
