USA: OmniBus Systems, a provider of broadcast automation and content management solutions has launched a value-added reseller (VAR) program for iTX, its software-based production and transmission solution.

The program targets to enhance OmniBus' reach into different market sectors and resellers to provide solutions to markets including broadcast, IPTV, Internet and mobile TV applications.

The VAR program allows OmniBus to make playout and automation technology available directly through selected reseller partners for the first time. Resellers in Europe, the Pacific Rim and Asia have already joined the program and Omnibus is in the process of recruiting more.

Potential VARs are taken through an evaluation process to establish their strengths and potential target markets. Once accepted into the program, they attend a sales and technical training course at OmniBus' UK headquarters, from which they are equipped to propose, install and train on iTX.

VARs which have an existing support structure in place will be given the option to offer first- and second-tier support services. Resellers have access to a range of services from OmniBus, including marketing and lead-generation support and a dedicated iTX website with support information, software updates, training guides and other product documentation.
