12 March 2008

Tokyo – The New Media Group (TNMG) has unveiled World On-Demand Television (WODTv), its first IPTV initiative for the Japanese market.
WODTv will focus on offering channels and content for young urban Japanese audiences. The service is expected to add in-depth presentation and information on the content to frame the offering. To be available on WODTv is Trace Tv, a channel for Japanese urbanites in their 20s interested in hip-hop along with Fox Channel, The Soundtrack Channel, B4U Music, VIVA Movies from the Philippines, and up to 20 other channels.
Initial marketing efforts will be concentrated at www.wodtv.jp, the website providing WODTv-related information for consumers. Various channel providers including Trace Tv will collaborate with TNMG’s World On-Demand team to launch Tokyo-based music, movie, and dance events to promote WODTv.
TNMG’s first World On-Demand IPTV service for the region currently offers more than 8O channels and video-on-demand.
