Woo upped as VP, business operations and finance, Disney Channel and DAIT, Asia Pacific

Burbank/Hong Kong – Anna Woo has been promoted to vice president, business operations and finance, Disney Channel and Disney-ABC International Television, Asia Pacific. Woo is responsible for commercial strategies, business operations and financial planning for all of The Walt Disney Company's TV business in the region. Based in Hong Kong, she reports to Jewell Engstrom, EVP and CFO, Disney ABC Cable Networks Group, and Robert Gilby, SVP and MD, Disney-ABC International Television, Asia-Pacific.
Expanding from her formal role, Woo adds business operations, financial management and planning for Disney Channels, Playhouse Disney channels, Toon Disney/Jetix and other wholly owned channels, on cable and satellite platforms in Asia Pacific. Working with the general managers of Disney Channels regionally, she will oversee development and financial management of new business initiatives including production of local original long-form and short-form content.
Woo will continue to be responsible for all business operations and finance matters for Disney-ABC International Television, Asia Pacific, which distributes TV and film content developed by The Walt Disney Company through Walt Disney Studios, ABC Television Network, ABC Studios, Disney Channel and Disney ABC Cable Networks to platforms including terrestrial, cable/satellite, telco and IPTV, as well as PPV, DTT, VOD, broadband and mobile. In addition, she will continue to serve as the finance advisor for negotiations of long term deals with key platform partners in the region and to oversee financial management of the company's equity interest in TV channels, including board participation.
Woo was formerly VP, finance and operations, Disney-ABC International Television, Asia Pacific, and has been with The Walt Disney Company for 13 years.
