Portfolio Entertainment seals raft of MIPTV sales

Toronto - Portfolio Entertainment’s outing to MIPTV has generated new deals for library programs including Chef at Home; Breathing Space Yoga; and Animal Magnetism, adding to sales closed previously for its children’s programming.
Korea’s C4U Media picked up VOD rights for 52 episodes in seasons four and five, while Canal + Cyfrowy / Kitchen TV (Poland) acquired all five seasons totaling 131 half-hours for pay TV of Chef At Home a culinary series featuring chef Michael Smith.
Zone Club, a division of Chellomedia UK, acquired pay cable and satellite rights to all 65 half-hour episodes of Diane Bruni-hosted exercise series Breathing Space Yoga for EMEA territories. Brazil’s Globosat took pay TV rights for all 26 half-hour episodes of Animal Magnetism a series on animal-human bonds.
The new deals add to sales for six children’s series at MIPTV including Workforce, Heads Up!, Spellz, The Big Comfy Couch, Panda Bear Daycare, and Igloo-Gloo.
Korea’s Sun Media obtained both cable and satellite TV rights for all 26 half-hour episodes of Workforce, a series helping youths make informed decisions on their future careers. Malaysia’s RTM acquired free TV rights to all 26 half-hour episodes of Heads Up!, an astronomy series introducing children and tweens to the universe.
From Turkey, Ares Media renewed pay TV rights for the second season of 26x15’ series of Spellz, a show revealing the mysteries behind ‘magic’ tricks. Samanyolu TV took free TV rights for 100 half-hour episodes of The Big Comfy Couch and 26x15’series Panda Bear Daycare. The Big Comfy Couch and Panda Bear Daycare are puppetry based series. Jim Jam, a division of Chellomedia UK, picked up pay TV rights for 26 half-hour episodes of Igloo-Gloo for EMEA. Igloo-Gloo is a preschool puppet series on two baby seals from the Arctic Circle.
