9 April 2008

USA/Malaysia: OmniBus Systems, provider of broadcast automation and content management solutions, has appointed Fintan McKiernan as regional sales manager to head up its new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new office will consolidate OmniBus’ existing support network as well as expand the company’s operations in Asia-Pacific.
McKiernan will oversee the establishment of the Kuala Lumpur base and the development of the company’s network of resellers in the region. The company’s immediate focus is to increase its presence in China, Indochina, the Philippines and Japan, as well as to build on the established installed base of customers in Asia Pacific.
According to McKiernan, there is demand for conventional broadcasting, mobile TV and IPTV products in the region, and projects are expected to come to fruition in the near future.
