Digipost expands with operations in Cambodia

1 April 2008

Singapore-based post-production house Digipost has opened for business in Cambodia, thus becoming the first full-service post-production facility to operate in the country. The launch marks the third Southeast Asian outlet for Digipost, which opened in Ho Chi Minh City in 2005.
Digipost, which has been firmly established in Singapore for over 15 years, plan to deliver cutting edge technology and a team of creative professionals with international and regional experience on board.
The Phnom Penh operation became fully operational mid-February, and is targeting regional and global as well as local advertisers with a full suite of post-production services, including visual effects, 3D animation, motion graphics and audio engineering. To date, agencies and broadcasters have had to use post houses in neighbouring countries such as Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia
“We feel the time is right to introduce world class facilities in Cambodia where the local advertising and broadcast industries are growing steadily,” said Allen Seet, founder and CEO of Digipost, who is based in Cambodia while the new facility gets off the ground.
“Additionally, we can now offer our regional and international clients creative collaboration and solutions with a unique choice of countries for completing sophisticated, high end post production projects in Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia.”
Cambodia is one of the fastest-growing broadcast advertising markets in Asia-Pacific, as is Indochinese neighbour Vietnam. Although advertising spend in both markets is still minimal, stable political circumstances and opening economies have meant that foreign direct investment - and, in turn, adspend - is on the rise.
