15 April 2008
USA: ViewCast Corporation, a provider of audio and video encoding products, unveiled its new quad-channel Osprey-450e video capture card at the NAB Show 2008. Osprey-450e allows simultaneous capture of four individual channels of analogue video and unbalanced stereo audio channels for independent processing. It is suited for live streaming video applications with features including logo bitmap overlay with transparency, positioning controls, and automatic detection and adaptation on-the-fly when the input video format changes from movie frame rates to TV frame rates. Additional internal video inputs and four balanced audio inputs are also available as alternatives to the rear panel connectors.Leveraging the new architecture standard which uses the PCI Express bus, the Osprey-450e offers higher channel density to reduce the number of computer systems required to capture channels to reduce overall system costs. It is compatible with a variety of commercial video capture, processing, and encoding applications, as well as with other Osprey cards.
