24 April 2008

Turner Entertainment Networks Asia, Inc. (TENA) has named Jeremy Carr as vice president, regional entertainment advertising sales, to replace Soumitra Saha, who was promoted to head TENA as SVP and GM since December 2007.

Based in Hong Kong, Carr oversees TV and interactive advertising sales for properties that TENA represents across 11 offices, with particular focus on South Asia and Australia/New Zealand. He is responsible for 13 TV channels including Cartoon Network’s India, Australia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Pakistan and South East Asia feeds; POGO in India; Boomerang in Australia and Southeast Asia; TCM; and HBO in South Asia; as well as eight Cartoon Network online destinations and the TCM and POGO websites.

Carr will also drive TENA’s sponsorship and promotions team to deliver partner integration opportunities across brands, implement Web 2.0 advertising revenue business strategies, and work with Turner’s business development team on new market development.

Carr was formerly partner and director at International Media Representation Company Pty Ltd., managing international media groups for Australia and New Zealand.
