Sydney – Omnilab Media, Australia and New Zealand-based vertically integrated content development and media service business is co-financing W, a biographical motion picture about US president George W. Bush directed by Oliver Stone from a screenplay by Stanley Weiser.

Lionsgate, through a deal with Omnilab Media, has acquired the North American distribution rights from QED International and will also distribute W in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. The new deal extends from Omnilab Media’s previously partnership with Lionsgate for The Bank Job.

W stars Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Banks and is being produced by Moritz Borman, Jon Kilik and Bill Block to coincide with the US elections this fall. Omnilab Media are co-financing the film alongside QED; China-based Emperor Group; Condor Films; and Global Entertainment Group. Production of W commenced on May 12, 2008 in Louisiana, USA, and is slated for premiere on October 17, 2008.
