GlobeCast’s production and transmission services from Cannes Film Festival

Paris – Content management and delivery company GlobeCast, subsidiary of France Telecom, is providing production and transmission services via satellite and fibre at the Cannes Film Festival from May 14-25, 2008.
Throughout the festival, GlobeCast will offer stand up and live positions, playout and satellite as well as fibre contribution internationally. It is also offering an SNG vehicle near the artistes’ entrance at the Palais des Festivals for delivery of live or taped footage. Already, broadcasters including CNN, Sky Italia, RFO, Telecinco, TV3 Barcelona, and Canal + have signed on with GlobeCast for support of their coverage of the event.
The Cannes Film Festival in 2007 saw 321 TV channels and 1,700 media outlets from 82 countries providing coverage of the festival.
