2waytraffic and Endemol in multi-territory deal for Ba Ba Boom
19 May 2008
2waytraffic International and Endemol International have signed a multiple territory deal for Ba Ba Boom, the former’s new game show format. Following Ba Ba Boom’s launch at MIPTV in April 2008, the deal provides Endemol the right to produce the format in more than 20 territories including Australia, India, the Middle East, Russia, US, UK, France and Italy.
Developed in-house by 2waytraffic, Ba Ba Boom is a game show featuring the Ba Ba Boom panel of 10 models with coins under three of their 20 hands. The models hit the table twice with fists and a third time flat in unison to allow contestants and TV viewers to hear the clinking sound of the coins against the table surface. The objective is for contestants to eliminate all hands without coins to win the €100,000 (US$155,000) prize money. Contestants are eliminated if a hand with a coin is opened. The Ba Ba Boom panel can be made up of different groups including local sports teams to suit the slot and broadcaster’s profile.
