London - KidsCo, the JV channel owned by NBC Universal (NBCU), DIC Entertainment and Corus Entertainment, has launched in Hong Kong on PCCW’s now TV. Originall slated for Mach 20 2008, a source attributed the delay to “technical difficulties”.
March 20 saw KidsCo carriage deals with regional operators including Singapore’s SingTel mio TV, the Philippines’ SkyCable and Korea’s HanaTV. KidsCo also signed on Philippines-based Cable Boss as distributor in that market. Outside of Asia, KidsCo currently airs in Spain, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, the Middle East, and sub-Saharan Africa, and is expected to be available across 40 territories in Europe and Latin America within the next 18 months.
