Hong Kong – Principle Management CEO and manager of rock band U2, Paul McGuinness heads a lineup of senior music industry executives scheduled to speak at the third annual Music Matters forum to be held from June 3-5, 2008 at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Hong Kong. Concert promoter Harvey Goldsmith; Nettwerk Music Group CEO and manager of artiste Avril Lavigne, Terry McBride; rock music group Linkin Park manager Rob McDermott and music-based game 'Guitar Hero' creator Charles Huang are scheduled to speak at Music Matters before an expected 600 attendees including record label executives, concert promoters, mobile industry executives, handset manufacturers, advertisers, managers, digital media leaders and musical groups from across the world. Highlights of the event will include a conference on 360° business models which will examine the possible impact on the industry from all-encompassing deals signed with artistes; and the panel on the Chinese market in 'China—Making and Breaking An Artist In The Middle Kingdom' by McDermott. Discussions will also revolve around the telecommunications industry's partnership with the music industry to create new business models for the future.
