Singapore – SingTel has introduced Bloomberg’s new multi-faceted application for mobile devices exclusively available to SingTel postpaid mobile customers, marking the world’s first launch of the mobile service.The interactive service allows users to create a personalized portfolio to track the performance of shares and stock exchange indices from the suite of investment tools and services available. A currency conversion calculator using real-time exchange rates will also be available for the first time. The new features add to Bloomberg’s up-to-the-minute financial and world news, as well as stock quotes from major stock exchanges.Rich multimedia content including exclusive video-on-demand, podcasts and live TV streams are expected to be made available in the next three months. Following the Singapore launch, Bloomberg plans to extend the mobile service to territories across Southeast Asia and Greater China by the end of 2008, with further expansion planned for 2009.
