MTV Asia Awards makes Malaysia return

Kuala Lumpur - MTV Networks Asia is bringing back its MTV Asia Awards (MTVAA) - set to take place at the Arena of Stars in Genting - City of Entertainment, Malaysia on 2 August 2008, to be hosted by 30 Seconds to Mars’ Jared Leto.

Confirmed regional partners include edc by Esprit, Tourism Malaysia, Genting - City of Entertainment and local sponsor Xpax in Malaysia.

The pan-regional music event’s sixth showing comes after a year’s break - having last been held May 6 2006 at the Siam Paragon in Bangkok, Thailand. And July 26 2006 saw the inaugural MTV Asia Movie Awards postponed ‘due to scheduling issues’.
