Apple’s Final Cut World Tour reaches Asia-Pacific shores

2 June 2008

Asia-Pacific: Apple’s ongoing Final Cut World Tour will touch down in Asia-Pacific this month. Mac owners, Apple fans and pretty much everyone else can attend in-depth seminars on professional video and audio production suite for Mac OS X, Final Cut Studio 2, and the server-based tool for managing Final Cut Pro files, Final Cut Server.
Apple experts will give step-by-step demonstrations and reveal how customers can make optimum use of Final Cut Studio 2 and Final Cut Server. Participants will be able to view demos from real-world projects from leading post-production houses, creative agencies, Hollywood film studios, and broadcast television operations.
The seminars will touch on the key features of Final Cut Studio 2 and Final Cut Server with live demonstrations of Final Cut Server, including examples of how it works with Final Cut Studio.
Final Cut Studio 2 puts Final Cut Pro, Apple’s editing software, at the centre of an integrated post-production workflow that includes Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Compressor 3, DVD Studio Pro 4, and Color - an application for professional color grading.
Final Cut Server takes post-production to the workgroup, with tools that make it easy for creative teams to share assets and automate routine tasks. The package includes check-in/check-out protections for Final Cut Pro projects and automatic status notifications that keep every member of the production team up to date.
The two packages, Final Cut Studio 2 and Final Cut Server, are designed to work in tandem in any environment, whether in a two-person production boutique, post-production house, feature film studio, or global news operation.
Apple’s Final Cut World Tour will make pit stops in Mumbai (June 12), Sydney (June 18), Singapore (June 18), Hong Kong (June 24) and Taiwan (June 27). Register at http://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/tour/
