OmniBus adds support for Pinnacle files to iTX

10 June 2008

Denver - OmniBus Systems, has announced that native support for the Pinnacle file format has been added to its iTX production and automation system.
The optional plug-in for iTX adds native handling capability for Pinnacle files within the iTX playout engine, allowing customers with large archives of content on Pinnacle servers to continue to leverage their assets if they are in a replacement cycle for their video servers.
"It's important for our customers - wherever they are in their replacement cycle - to be able to integrate iTX easily with existing installations, and with the addition of Pinnacle support, we are able to offer a powerful solution to a large group of broadcasters seeking a way to preserve the value of their assets into the future." said OmniBus chief technology officer Ian Fletcher.
