Sydney - Discovery HD has launched as one of the five dedicated HD channels on new service FOXTEL HD +.
Since its 2005 launch into the Asia Pacific region, Discovery HD is now available in Australia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong - totaling 17 markets worldwide.
Mandy Pattinson, senior vice president and general manager, Australia and New Zealand, Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific said, “The launch of Discovery HD reinforces our commitment to the market as well as investment in the future of television and new services that enhance the viewing experience.”
The new channel will also offer programming unique to Discovery HD, never seen in the market before, including Monumental Vision and Magnificent Italia.
