Human rights film festival sends out call for entries

Bangkok - Entries are now being accepted for the Move Media Rights Festival (MMRF), to be held in Thailand from Dec 15 to 20, 2008 in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The MMRF will feature film/video productions within the framework of the last five years and intends to screen more than 40 films. including feature, documentaries and expositions on human rights and human security issues. The festival is also meant to honour deserving artists and filmmakers.
Emerging filmmakers with new works focusing on the South-east Asian region are encouraged to join, as well as organisations involved in the promotion of human rights issues through films.
To join, submit a film synopsis in English, at least two different stills, a list of credits, a short biography of the artist/director, including a filmography of the film director, and a press kit about the DVD, artwork or performances.
Deadline for submission is Aug 30, 2008. All documents should be sent by mail:
