Ross and Wohler Technologies forms openGear partnership
2 October 2006
USA: Ross Video announced a new openGear partner in Wohler Technologies, a provider of rack audio and video monitoring solutions.
openGear is a proprietary system from Ross that provides a platform with a control system that allows quick and easy monitoring and control of openGear frames and modules on the network. It is based on an open-architecture, 2RU modular frame, designed to accommodate up to 10 cards.
A wide variety of openGear cards are available from terminal equipment vendors supporting the openGear platform allowing facilities the freedom and flexibility to choose the best technology for their particular applications. Customers thus have the ability to choose from a host of frame standards and modules – offered by different manufacturers – for their terminal equipment solutions.
