Thomson displays integrated workflow at Australian Broadcast Exhibition 2008

Sydney - Thomson showed a number of integrated file-based workflow solutions for news and content creators at the 2008 Australian Broadcast Exhibition, which runs till 24 July at the Manly Pacific Hotel in Sydney.Visitors to the Thomson booth at ABE 2008 received hands-on demonstrations of HD news created with the Thomson Grass Valley Aurora suite. They also viewed demos of the Thomson Grass Valley Ignite HD line of production automation solutions. An additional point of interest was a discussion on the country’s first totally automated HD control-room solution at Australian television network WIN-TV. Participants learned that the Ignite HD system would soon be deployed in the Melbourne and Sydney studios of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Also on display was the Thomson Grass Valley Infinity Digital Media Camcorder, along with the Thomson Grass Valley Indigo AV Mixer combined with the Turbo iDDR (Intelligent Digital Disk Recorder).
