Phoenix Awards to hand out Lifetime Achievement accolade

Singapore - The Asia Film, Video and Digital Media Awards 2008, the Phoenix Awards, will honour a rookie and an industry veteran with accolades for the Best Young Director Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Phoenix Awards reward creativity and professional skills in the production of TV commercials (film and animation), programme trailers, station identities, mobile and Internet promotions and film credits.
The awards are open to advertising agencies, film production companies, editing houses, animation studios, special effect firms, individual directors and cinematographers, composers, set designers, sound engineers and film schools.
The best directors, cameramen, animators, art directors, set designers, editors, composers and sound engineers will be honoured over the course of the evening.
A single gold, silver and bronze award will be presented in each category for those reaching the top standard with finalist certificates to all those entries reaching the final judging round.
The Phoenix Awards 2008 is organized by AdAsia. The gala presentation will be held on 11 September at the Golden Village Cinema, Great World City in Singapore. Tickets at S$30 includes buffet dinner and drinks.
