X|Media|Lab Seoul: 3D Internet Virtual, Visual, Social

30 September 2008

Seoul - More than 30 CEO's of Korean internet and media companies, as well as many of Korea's leading research universities, agencies, and institutions, and a 'who's who' of the highly influential Korean blogging community were among the hundreds of people who attended X|Media|Lab in Seoul from 24 – 26 September 2008.
XML Seoul explores virtual worlds, the impact of 3D Internet, and the emerging entertainment, educational, enterprise and social possibilities.
Seoul proved to be the place to share innovations and success stories in inter-related digital worlds: with Korean contemporary culture (Hallyu) still riding a crest of popularity, and world leadership in online worlds (Cyworld), as well as mobile services and applications.
XML Seoul is an official part of Korea's inaugural ICCON Festival organised by KOCCA, the Korean government's Content agency. The keynote conference covered emerging trends and technologies, creative applications, and international opportunities and markets.
The Lab session provided business matching opportunities between the participating companies and Korean companies working the 3D Internet and virtual worlds space.
