Granada International Australia and TVNZ renew output deal
Cannes – New Zealand's public broadcaster TVNZ and Granada International Australia, part of ITV Global Entertainment, the company which combines the recently merged Granada International and Granada Ventures businesses, have renewed the output deal between the two companies. The multi-genre, multi-year agreement will see the UK's longest running soap Coronation Street remain on TVNZ's flagship channel TV ONE.
Brokered by Augustus Dulgaro, SVP Sales Australia, New Zealand and Japan at Granada International Australia and Jeff Latch, head of television at TVNZ, the deal was confirmed today at MIPCOM.
Jane Wilson, general manager of programming at TVNZ says "the deal brings long term stability and consistency to the schedule. It allows us to provide a range of quality programming from popular broad appeal entertainment such as TV2's Hell's Kitchen and TV ONE's Trinny and Susannah franchise, to a range of acclaimed television features for the prestigious Sunday Theatre strand."
