Jain exits, Suharjono steps up as EVP and MD MTV Networks Southeast Asia and Greater China

Singapore/Hong Kong – Indra Suharjono has been promoted to executive vice president and managing director, MTV Networks Southeast Asia and Greater China, based in Singapore. Effective immediately, Suharjono will assume oversight of MTVNI's portfolio of brands and businesses across the region, succeeding Amit Jain, the outgoing executive vice president and managing director, MTV Networks Southeast Asia, China and India.
Announcement was made by MTVNI president Bob Bakish, to whom Suharjono will report. Suharjono most recently served as senior vice president & managing director for Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) with direct responsibilities for Asia, Middle East and Global Publishing.
In her new position, Suharjono will lead the growth and manage the day to day
operations and strategic direction for MTVNI's brands and businesses in the region. She will build and expand on the company's established position as well as identify new business opportunities.
Jain, who joined MTVNI in 2005, played a principal role in expanding Viacom's business interests through the formation of Viacom 18 – Viacom and TV18 Group's joint venture in India. As executive vice president and managing director, MTVNI for Greater China, South East Asia and India, Jain spearheaded the company's expansion and led many key market developments including the successful launch of Viacom 18's general entertainment service, COLORS, which ranks among the top two general entertainment channels since launching in July 2008.
Jain's management of the Viacom 18 joint venture shifts to the Emerging Markets
Group under Bhavneet Singh, executive vice president/managing director of Emerging Markets based in London, MTVNI. Prior to joining MTV Networks India, Jain served more than a decade with Coca Cola managing markets across Asia.
