Matrox Graphics launches DualHead2Go Digital Edition
10 January 2007
Canada: Matrox Graphics has launched the DualHead2Go Digital Edition to provide digital output. The external multi-display upgrade device connects the VGA output of notebooks or desktop computers and expands the desktop across two digital displays. DualHead2Go Digital Edition also enables support for high-resolution panels, offering a stretched desktop of up to 3840x1200 (or dual 1920x1200) across two displays.
The multi-display configuration is suited for working on multiple full-screen documents or applications simultaneously, eliminating the need to constantly open, close, or minimize applications. Also, the Matrox PowerDesk SE2 interface offers a wider range of resolutions, including support for both widescreen and standard aspect ratios.
Operating systems detect Matrox Graphics eXpansion Modules (GXM) as an ultra-widescreen monitor which is then split into two or more standard resolutions compatible with the attached displays, harnessing the graphics hardware in the system for 2D, 3D, and video acceleration.
