Hong Kong/Macau - STAR PLUS will be the exclusive broadcaster for the prestigious 2009 International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), due to be held in Macau from June 11-13. The broadcast is expected to reach 150 million viewers in the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia, Middle East, US and Europe.
The IDEA IIFA Awards is Bollywood’s biggest international award show, with the aim of promoting Indian cinema worldwide.
To kick-off the IIFA Awards celebrations, STAR PLUS will feature special programmes every weekend in June including Golden Decade of Indian Cinema, which looks back at 10 years of IIFA Awards, IIFA Weekend, which features Bollywood celebrities enjoying the sights and sounds of Macau and IIFA Curtain Raiser, which gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the rehearsals.
