NETIA latest version of Radio-Assist 8.0 launched in Asian markets
19 June 2009
NETIA will highlight its new Radio-Assist 8.0 suite of digital audio software designed to simplify multiplatform media publishing. This latest version of the popular Radio-Assist has been enhanced with a range of innovative new tools designed to facilitate smooth end-to-end workflows in the delivery of media across both traditional broadcast channels and multi-platform distribution. Visitors can catch a demo of Radio-Assist at the BCI booth 7C4-01 in Hall 7 of BroadcastAsia 09. BCI is NETIA’s master distributor for Southeast Asia.
“With Radio-Assist 8.0, content owners and distributors now have a highly streamlined means of building multi-platform delivery into existing workflows,” said Christophe Carniel, CEO at NETIA. “Our customers can have access to planning tools which allow them to prepare for media publication early in the workflow, simplify publishing to the appropriate target medium, and easily manage metadata and linked media.”
This latest version of Radio-Assist 8.0 also interfaces with the company’s Manreo media asset management system to further simplify operations for media groups by facilitating the enrichment of metadata and sharing of video, audio, images, and text throughout their operations.
Through integration with NETIA’s Manreo media asset management system, Radio-Assist 8.0 also provides users with instant access to all types of media, whether archived or online. As a result, media ranging from audio and video to images and text is available for immediate review and can subsequently be restored for repurposing and delivery to broadcast and/or broadband/mobile channels.
Three different types of publishing are available to help users optimize their content workflow with the best format for the intended target audience. Within Radio-Assist 8.0 a new ‘Publication’ tab allows journalists to easily publish audio-only content and its metadata; publish audio and associated media, such as video, text, or images; or prepare a group of items for automatic conversion and publishing to an array of destinations - ideal for podcasts, internet postings, or delivery to mobile devices.
NETIA’s Radio-Assist 8.0 suite of digital audio software programs covers each part of the production and broadcast workflow, allowing users to record, edit, or prepare a playlist. In addition to new browse and publishing tools for full multimedia functionality, the software features tools for acquisition, sound-file editing, commercial and music production, newsroom systems, scheduling, multicasting, administration, and more.
