Christie introduces new projection solutions

1 April 2007

USA: Christie is offering the CP2000-ZX DLP cinema projector for use in small and medium-sized theatres and post-production houses. Built on 2K, 3-chip DLP Cinema technology, it features a contrast ratio greater than 2000:1 and reproduces 35.2 trillion colors.
Installation is made easy with its integrated singlephase ballast, with all controls available and accessible from its Control Display Panel (CDP). CP2000-ZX’s projection lamp is also replaceable by the user.
Also available is Christie’s ACT, a new automation controller for Digital Cinema technology, which provides total theatre control. It translates event cues from connected devices to control functions including lighting systems, masking motors, sound processors, projectors and curtains to suit the needs of a single screen, multiplex or even a theatre chain.
Manageable through a web interface, Christie ACT can be accessed using a web browser on any computer on the network. With a graphical user interface, users can maintain seamless operation of a theater from a handheld device or laptop connected to the network. Pre-defi ned scripts for supporting known devices, and eight programmable manual press buttons on the front panel make customization possible.
