‘Hope for Haiti Now’ on National Geographic Channel in Asia January 23 & 24

22 January 2010

Asia - National Geographic Channel is bringing ‘Hope for Haiti Now,’ a two-hour global earthquake relief telethon, to Asia for a commercial-free delayed broadcast in Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and Taiwan on 23 and 24 January.

Viewers can help victims of the Haiti earthquake by making a donation directly to the Asian arm of the international aid agency of their choice, such as Oxfam, Red Cross or UNICEF. Local donation details will be shown during the broadcast.

Screening live at 8pm on 22 January in the US, ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ is set to be the world’s most widely distributed telethon, both internationally and across media platforms, led by George Clooney in Los Angeles, Wyclef Jean in New York City and CNN’s Anderson Cooper from Haiti. It features musical performances, celebrity appearances, and live news reports from CNN.
