Phuket Film Festival 2010 call for entries

30 January 2010

The second edition of the Phuket Film Festival, to be held on 4-13 June 2010 on the beautiful international tourist island of Phuket in Thailand is calling for entries.
Feature films, documentaries and short films (including animation) are welcome to submit screeners to the Festival. Information can be found on the website: www.phuketfilmfestival.asia
Preference will be given to award winning film festival films or world/Asian premiers by award winning filmmakers.
Despite cancellation of the Festival in 2009 due to the political situation in Thailand, the organizers hope to see the 2010 establish itself as Thailand's latest international cultural event.
The 2010 Festival expects to screen about 30 - 40 films with a People's Choice Awards held for selected films. This year the Phuket Film Festival is partnering with B-Side, an international web based protocol for previewing Festival films and measuring audience reaction to the films.
B-Side also allows filmmakers not only local Festival reach for their films but international exposure as well. The Festival will accept film submissions until 30 April 2010. There is a US$50 fee for each film submitted.
