USA: Doremi Labs, parent company of Doremi Technologies, introduced the DSV-J2 player and the DSDI-20 DVI-to-HD video converter at InfoComm 07.

The DSV-J2 is a 3D, stereoscopic, HD (1920x1080), 2K (2048x1080) and 4K (4096x2160) video playback device for large screen and special-venue applications. It supports playback of MPEG2 and JPEG2000 MXF files at resolutions of up to 4K. 3D playback is also supported in HD and 2K resolutions, while super widescreen stereoscopic playback is available by sending unique video streams to two separate projectors. 4K-resolution playback is possible by pairing the DSV-J2 with Doremi Labs' MB-4k Media Block processor which outputs images at 4K resolution via 8 dual-link HD-SDI or four DVI connectors.

The DSV-J2 provides frame-accurate LTC timecode output to synchronize external equipment and up to 8 channels of uncompressed (48 kHz, 24-bit) audio via balanced digital AES/EBU or optional analogue audio.

The player features a front panel touchscreen display as well as a playlist software with file playback scheduling that can run on a Windows PC. RAID5 disc storage and dual-redundant power supplies are also available.

The new DSDI-20 converts DVI computer signals of up to 1920x1200 to HD or SD SDI video. The analogue VGA format is also supported via a DVI-I input within the package. Computer-generated images can be recorded, broadcast, and displayed with the conversion of DVI to SDI. Its HD-SDI output helps to retain details and small fonts typical of computers' high-resolution displays. With frame rate conversion built-in, the DSDI-20 supports NTSC, PAL and HD video formats including 1080i, 1080p and 720p.

The DSDI-20 set-up menu is displayed as a burn-in window through its SDI output and an infrared remote control is provided to navigate through the menu settings. Remote operation is also available via easy-to-use GUI software that also features downloadable look-up tables (LUT) to allow colour adjustments.
