Kodak showcases digital cinema solutions at the Australian International Movie Convention

Kodak showcased new operational efficiencies and revenue opportunities offered by its digital cinema solutions in a presentation of future 3D entertainment at the Australian International Movie Convention that took place from August 12 – 16 in Gold Coast. Presented via a Kodak system with a Barco projector using Texas Instruments DLP and Real D's 3D technology, the highlight was the new Kodak Theatre Management System which automates processes which are duplicative and labor-intensive. The system has been installed on 2100 cinema screens worldwide.3D digital systems developer as well as Kodak's partner in various countries, Real D, was also involved in the presentation. All of Real D's content was shown on the Kodak Content Player JMN3000 and the highlight was the trailer for Beowulf, a Robert Zemeckis film from Warner Bros.
