dB Broadcast receives first OB vehicle order from China

UK/China: dB Broadcast, a UK-based independent system integrator, has received its first order of a six-camera OB vehicle from China. The contract signing ceremony was covered live on Chinese television.
Based on the Mercedes 814D KA Vario vehicle, the new order will be built and tested at dB's purpose-built premises in Cambridgeshire, Eastern England before being commissioned in China. In addition, a dB engineer will travel to China to provide overall system training for Chinese engineers.
Equipment for the vehicle includes 6 Sony cameras and 8 DVCAM camcorders, a Yamaha digital audio console, a Grass Valley hard disk recorder, a Pixel Power character generator and a Harris router. Monitors will be supplied by both Sony and JVC.
