Annapurna Studios acquires second Mistika 4K system
Hyderabad, India – Annapurna Studios has expanded its DI operation with the acquisition of a second SGO Mistika 4K DI system at its Hyderabad-based location to expand and future-proof the facility. The new Mistika increases further, the creative power the facility provides its clients.
The South Indian film producer relies on Mistika to service high-end mainstream film projects, both at home and abroad. With Mistika's real-time 4K, Stereo 3D, and DI capabilities, the operation provides film services that are technically and creatively competitive in standard.
Umapathy Rao, Chief Financial Officer at Annapurna Studios, said, “We have been able to deliver some of the most prestigious projects successfully in a short space of time and have quite a few on hand which has necessitated another Mistika in less than a year.”
Annapurna Studio's DI division consists of a dedicated team of colourists, artists and support staff who carry a wealth of knowledge and experience, gained from working in different DI operations.
Light Illusion, SGO's partner and a DI consultancy, supplies direct support and services to Annapurna’s new DI operation. Annapurna Studios also employs Light Illusion’s LightSpace CMS technology in tandem with Mistika enabling a highly calibrated environment making sure any image is accurately portrayed across a wide range of target environments and displays.
