Big Animation takes home ATF 2010 Animation SuperPitch Award
Singapore - India-based Big Animation took home the 2010 Animation SuperPitch Award at the Asia Television Forum this year with their children’s series Big Bees, noted for its high production values and well-packaged characters.
At the pitch, Ashish S.K., CEO of Big Animation, told judges the series was aimed at providing wholesome entertainment and education on the ‘wonders of nature’ to children in the 5-7 age group.
The focus of the series will be to provide a wholesome entertainment and education to kids in the age group of 5-7 years, around ‘wonders of nature’, a series of 52 episodes of 11 minutes each.
The ATF 2010 Animation SuperPitch, organized by Asia Image with sister publication Television Asia Plus and Asia Television Forum, is the region’s premium pitching event for aspiring and experienced professionals in TV production. This year, finalists were given 10 minutes each to showcase their ideas and concepts, which tested their presentation skills. They also faced a barrage of questions from the panel of judges, which included Graham Perkins, co-CEO of Rune Entertainment; Ken Anderson, founder of Red Kite Animations; Rahmat A Samad, executive producer, content creation division at Mediacorp Studios; Marc Checkley, group editor of Television Asia Plus; and Melody Uy, editor of Asia Image.
