BIRTV 2009 to focus on hd technology in china

Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV 2009) is China’s most prestigious exhibition in the industry and a key component of the China International Radio Film & Television Exposition.

It is the only one of such exhibitions which has the support of China’s government and is listed number one among the supported exhibitions in China’s 11th Five Year’s Developing Plan of Culture.

For 20 years since its foundation, BIRTV has grown to be the best show of this kind throughout China and even in Asia, as illustrated by the quality and number of products and items being exhibited. It has received continuous support from exhibitors and manufacturers and by large numbers of professionals and interested visitors.

More than 55,000 attendees mainly from Radio and TV stations of various levels in China, neighbouring countries and even Europe or America are expected to visit the show. In BIRTV 2007, 426 companies from China and abroad showed their latest equipment and technology in an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters.

This year, high definition broadcast and technology is expected to figure prominently in China’s broadcast landscape especially after the 2008 Olympic Games.
