Cut+Run increases Asian presence
International offline edit house, Cut+Run, has launched a new editing facility in Hong Kong, in a bid to further its growth.
With a presence in the ever growing Asian market for the last two years, James Tomkinson, Managing Director, Cut+Run, London, highlights the increase in, and demand for, creative editors in the region.
“Firstly more western directors are now shooting in Asia and are expecting the same excellence there as they receive from Cut+Run in London, New York & LA. Equally exciting though is that demand is also coming from creative productions in the region wanting our skills and services”, says Tomkinson.
The Asian market is wide and varied which offers up a vast diversity of jobs for editors to work on. Senior editor Nick Diss emphasizes this. He says, “Most of the business at the moment is coming from Shanghai and Beijing, that said we are doing more and more for Manila and even India".
