Cutting Edge completes new campaign for Hyundai
Brisbane - Cutting Edge announced their involvement in the latest Hyundai i30 campaign.
This latest TVC for Hyundai took Cutting Edge VFX Supervisor, Jeff Gaunt, to the Mt Wellington in Tasmania; a balloon festival in the Philippines; the Bullet Train yards in Tokyo; the grand fountains of Dubai Mall and Mt Gravatt in Brisbane.
Working jointly with director Brendan Williams and Scott Lambert of ad agency Innocean, the team worked for more than a month across four continents shooting time-lapse photography with up to six Canon 5D and 7D cameras.
Gaunt said, “I love the innovative and creative mix that we have been able to deliver in this commercial. Initially we wanted to shoot everything in camera but on a shoot of this scale, the crew was faced with some extreme weather conditions. This opened the way for a couple of key shots to be completed with some additional plates shot in studio to finish the commercial. The benchmark for the post production shots were extremely high as they needed to match into some stunning cinematography.”
