FremantleMedia Enterprises launching trio of BBC dramas at MIPTV

London - FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) will be launching three major BBC dramas at MIPTV 2011.

Laconia (2 x 90 minutes) is an epic story of unexpected gallantry and inexplicable cowardice in the fog of war retelling one man's extraordinary actions to save lives against the backdrop of the death of humanity in the Second World War.

The Crimson Petal and the White (4 x 1 hour or 2 x 2 hours) is based on Michel Faber's international bestselling novel and tells the thrilling story of Sugar (Romola Garai, Emma, Atonement), an alluring, well-read young prostitute in 19th Century London who yearns for a better life.

Exile (3 x 1hr or 2 x 90 mins, drama) is the latest offering from the Emmy and BAFTA award winning writer, creator and producer Paul Abbott (Shameless, State of Play) and BAFTA award winning executive producer, Nicola Shindler of Red Production Company (Unforgiven, Queer as Folk, Clocking Off). Written by BAFTA award winning writer Danny Brocklehurst (Shameless, Clocking Off), Exile tells the story of Tom Ronstadt (John Simm - Life on Mars, State of Play), a successful London journalist whose world has fallen apart.
