Harris wins Outstanding Product Award at BIRTV

Beijing – Harris has won an Outstanding Product Award for its Selenio media convergence platform at the Beijing International Radio, Film and Television Equipment Exhibition (BIRTV) in Beijing, China.

Selenio was honoured in the Playout, Transmission and New Media category. Ideal for hybrid environments, the platform combines traditional baseband video and audio processing, video and audio compression and IP networking technology into a single platform.

Selenio simplifies signal and multi-platform distribution workflows by combining traditional baseband video and audio processing, compression and IP networking features — all in a single, space-saving 3RU frame. The graphical user interface employs a series of graphical block diagrams to simplify the management and monitoring aspects, and keep the configuration process workflow-oriented.

The BIRTV exhibition is the largest yearly gathering of radio and TV equipment manufacturers in China. All exhibits go through rigorous analysis and comparison before awarding the prizes to the most anticipated products and the most excellent technology adoption projects.
