Intense Animation Academy presents inaugural Gold Star award to top graduates
Singapore: Intense Animation Academy, a Singapore-based animation training academy, presented its inaugural Gold Star awards on February 16, 2008, to acknowledge efforts of four graduates who are establishing careers in the animation industry.
Award recipients include Jack Feng, a former high school teacher who is now a character animator with Southern Star; Kong Phang Kiong, a storyboard artist who is currently a modeler and animator at Big Communications; Albert Goh, an investment analyst who is now an animator with iVLab; and Zaini Jalani, a polytechnic graduate who is currently an animator in the games department of Lucasfilm Animation Singapore. Intense Animation’s managing director, Tony Sealy, presented the awards to the winners who spoke about they managed to make animation their career at the ceremony.
Intense Animation Studio will introduce more courses in 2008 including a 12-month full-time diploma available from July 2008 and a 12-month part-time diploma available from January 2009. Information on courses at Intense is available from Damien Yoo or Shafie Rased at +65 6327 8525.
