Maori TV implements new MFA Focus system

Maori Television, the national indigenous broadcaster in New Zealand, has continued its relationship with MSA Focus through the implementation of the ForeTV broadcast management system. The two companies have been working together since 2003, and the installation of ForeTV marks the third generation of MSA Focus management software for Maori TV.

The new system went live in June 2011, allowing Maori TV to take advantage of all the opportunities in the modern broadcast environment, launching new broadcast and online services and getting closer to its community. The new planning and management system is a major step towards the broadcaster’s goal of promoting the traditional language, culture and heritage of New Zealand.

“This project means a great deal to us,” said Mark Evans, CEO of MSA Focus. “Building long-term relationships with our users help us refine our systems, as well as getting to know the precise needs of our customers.”

Built on open Windows platforms, ForeTV provides an enterprise-wide solution dealing with everything from media, rights and asset management through planning and scheduling to advertising sales and playlist generation.

MSA Focus is exhibiting at IBC2011, and can be found on stand 3.B40.
