Secret revealed

Chilean public broadcaster TVN has ordered a primetime Spanish version of UK series Secret Diary of a Call Girl, originally produced by Endemol-owned Tiger Aspect.

This will be the first remake of the series, which has been a success for UK digital channel ITV2. The original version has been sold to more than 30 countries worldwide, becoming a hit on networks such as Showtime in the US.

The Chilean version, titled Belle de Jour, chronicles the real life diaries of Belle, a high class escort.

Produced by Endemol Chile, shooting begins later this month for the 12-part Latin version. It is due to broadcast later this year, starring Latin film, theatre and telenovela actress Fernanda Urrejola as Belle.
