Sony’s ‘Believe HD and Beyond’ vision at BroadcastAsia
Singapore - Sony will again exhibit at BroadcastAsia2011 to showcase new future-ready technologies for the first time in Asia. The company’s booth will be a next-generation hub packed with revolutionary technologies in broadcast and content production that will raise the bar when it comes to creating compelling content.
“As a launch pad for broadcast and production technology trends and innovations in the region, BroadcastAsia2011 is an ideal platform for Sony to introduce its latest products and solutions, as well as be present to understand and focus on value creation for customers,” said Chris Grey, head of Content Creation Solutions, Professional Solutions Company (PSAP), Sony Electronics Asia Pacific.
Making its debut at BroadcastAsia, Sony’s F65 CineAlta camera is the result of 30 years of research and represents the industry’s first camera with 8K 20 megapixels CMOS sensor. During a closed-door launch event, guests will witness a visually stunning short film created by Curtis Clark using the F65 CineAlta® camera, as well as learn more about the insights that led to the development of this breakthrough camera.
“The industry has taken great strides in HD adoption but there is still a significant gap to bridge between SD and HD. We believe consumers are ready – with larger screens and a great deal of HD quality content already available, it is now up to broadcasters to further extend their HD operations,” said Grey.
Supporting the industry’s transition to digital broadcast, Sony will also introduce a breadth of new HD products this year including the HXC-D70 camera, the MCS-8M compact HD switcher, and the MVS-7000X production switcher. Other technologies that will be showcased at Sony’s BroadcastAsia2011 booth include the new BVM series OLED monitors, as well as the first fully integrated 3D shoulder camcorder PMW-TD300 and 3D compact camcorder HXR-NX3D1P, new 3D switchers and 3D software applications at the show.
